Key Components of the IMP-VPD 1800/12200

The IMP-VPD 1800/12200 plant is engineered with precision and includes several key components to ensure optimal treatment of timber:

• Autoclave: The heart of the treatment plant is designed to create a controlled environment for vacuum-pressure cycles. This ensures that the Burnblock® Antifire solution penetrates deep and evenly into the wood, providing superior fire protection.
• Storage Tank: The storage tank holds the Burnblock® treatment solution. This tank is built to maintain the quality and consistency of the solution, ensuring that the treatment process is both effective and efficient.
• Additional Collection Tank: Located under the loading door, this tank collects any excess treatment solution, preventing waste and ensuring a clean and safe working environment. The collection tank also aids in recycling the treatment solution, making the process more sustainable.
• Trolley and Sliding Guides: These components facilitate the easy loading and unloading of timber into the autoclave.

ISVE recently inaugurated one of Europe’s most advanced wood treatment plants in the presence of the customer and many institutional guests.

The plant, equipped with the latest vacuum pressure impregnation technology (IMP-VP), represents a new standard of excellence in the industry. The design and construction of the plant focused on quality, operational efficiency and environmental sustainability. In fact, the system offers superior performance and a reduced impact on the environment.

Thanks to advanced automation, the plant is able to perform three preservative treatments and one fireproof treatment, working 24 hours a day without the presence of permanent staff. The automation dialogues directly with the customer’s IT, maintaining complete traceability of each individual woodpile.

The equipment supplied to the fire-retarding and preservative impregnation plant built by ISVE for a major Swedish customer included a salt mixer.

This system is equipped with various automations for dosing products during both loading and unloading, and can also be interfaced with other machinery, such as conveyor belts and screw conveyors.

• a 3 cubic metre AISI 304 chamber to receive the salts to be mixed;
• an horizontal mixing reel
• an unloading screw;
• a screw conveyor to transfer salts into the respective mixing tank.

However, this mixing system is also used in other industrial sectors, from chemicals to plastics, but also pharmaceuticals and foodstuffs, with the appropriate modifications and certifications.
